Hawk 20.5 x 9.8 x 19.5 from pedestal, 21.5 with tail.
Disk 19 wide x 17 high.

Hawk of wood, covered with gesso & overlaid with gold. Feathers & other details incised in
the gesso. Upper feathers in relief. Crowned with a disk of same materials: unornamented.
Feet apparently of metal, but also covered with gesso.
Pedestal rounded underneath to fit pole.
At either end binding holes angles from sides to top.
Also one straight through from side to side.
In these there were still leather bindings.
Two similar threading holes in tail.
Originally mounted on the pole of chariot 120.
Cp. 112 & 160.
Treatment. Cleaned with damp brush: sprayed with celluloid in amyl acetate: repaired with
cellulose cement.
