Square legs.
Panels in open work.
A. Bes in centre, flanked by winged sphinxes.
Same on opposite side.
B. Bes in centre, flanked by winged animals presenting ankhs.
Lid had been fastened to ewer by a red cementing material. Spout also
cemented up.
Hanging round neck a strip of linen, circ. 1 cm wide. This apparently a
complete circle. May have bound round lip.
Treatment. Washed with water: removed brown resinous material with acetone.
Repaired break in spout with celluloid cement.
