44 (bb) Faience Necklace 56

Double necklace of large flat beads of brilliant blue faience. The two necklaces were not attached in any way to each other, but must surely have been used in combination. The complete lengths were about 55. Beads 1.8 in diam., .2-.3 thick. Aperture 1.2. Strung on bunches of fibre ? bound with thread. At either end of each of the four strings a cup <>, with lotus pattern. Threading hole at end of this cup .3 From this proceeded a double string and tassel, circ. 21. long, of which 3. was tassel. These strings .1 in diam.

Treatment Cleaned with water only.
