Ornamental gilt and inlaid casket.

Position (?) not in original position

Dimensions. Box: L. 48.8, W. 33.9, H. (including cornice & legs) 32.6.H. of bottom to floor 8.3. Internal measurement 46.3 x 31.12 x 23.4 deep.

Description. Rectangular oblong box standing upon four short legs. Cornice top - torus of ebony <>; upper surface inlaid with faience, glass, and (?) stone thus: <> G.R.V. G V.R.G. blue G.R.V. (?) V.R.G. blue G.R.V. G

<> missing Four sides decorated with rectangular oblong panels, inlaid with coloured glass, faience and (?) clear stone with gilt-gesso ornamentation. On the two sides and end panel the prenomen and nomen of the King alternate surmounted by solar disks and pendant uraei also surmounted with solar disks. The front panel two figures of hh bearing solar disks on their heads and facing the two cartouches of the King.
