34. Hassock cloth & bran & beadwork

1.Position

Lying on its side, resting against north east corner of lower frame-work of lion couch (35).

2.Dimensions

Diam. had been about 26 and height about 13, but footstool in such bad condition that exact measurements impossible.

3.Description

The footstool was of cloth filled with bran. On the cloth an elaborate pattern of beadwork, in blue, green, red, yellow and white disc beads. Patterns see next card.

4.Treatment.

Boiling wax poured over it.
