The god Djehuti (also known by the Greek form of his name, Thoth) was worshipped in the city of Khemenu (modern El-Ashmunein, in Middle Egypt). He was the god of wisdom, writing and mathematics. Djehuti could take on the form of the baboon or the ibis-bird.
Important temples of the god Djehuti were in several other Egyptian cities, including Mennufer.
